Alice Mander
Alice is a law and arts student at Victoria University, passionate about disability rights and justice. Her writing experience mostly stems from her desire to seek change for disabled people.
She has written for platforms such as The Spinoff, AttitudeTV, and AllIsForAll. Last year, she wrote a fortnightly column for the University magazine, Salient named ‘Token Cripple’. This was a personal column, which sought to shed light on the experience of being a disabled woman in a youthful and relatable way.
This year, she has been privileged to be the president of the Disabled Students Association at Victoria, where she helped create the inaugural issue of Salient which was based entirely around disability.
Alice seeks to create art which explores disability in an honest, frank, and daring nature.
