Emalani Case is a Lecturer in Pacific Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. As a Kanaka Maoli writer and teacher, she explores issues of Indigenous rights, colonialism, decolonization, and environmental and social justice. She is the author of Everything Ancient Was Once New: Indigenous Persistence from Hawaiʻi to Kahiki.
