Emma Sidnam
Emma is a New Zealand writer and student. As a fourth-generation Asian New Zealander, she is passionate about representation and ensuring that all voices are heard. In slam poetry, Emma won the Spirit of the Slam award at the 2020 Regional Finals, and was joint runner-up in the 2021 Regional Finals. Emma was included in the AUP Anthology: A Clear Dawn and the VUP anthology: Middle Distances. She has previously had writing published in the Spinoff, Newsroom, and Capital Magazine. In 2022, she was awarded the Michael Gifkins prize for an unpublished manuscript. Her debut novel will be published in 2023.
