The Mermaid Chronicles: Megan Dunn with Kim Hill

  • Hannah Playhouse 12 Cambridge Terrace Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

‘Her voice is so strong. It’s wonderful.’ — Lorde

The Mermaid Chronicles by Megan Dunn is an extraordinary deep dive, a mer-moir that weaves artistic dreams, motherhood, mermaids and midlife into one shimmering odyssey. With wit, intellect and curiosity The Mermaid Chronicles follows Dunn’s earlier books Tinderbox (2017), and Things I Learned at Art School (2021), in presenting a singular voice that plumbs the depths of art and experience in a way that is intensely relatable. Dunn joins Kim Hill for an hour exploring what it means to follow the siren’s call from Coney Island and Copenhagen to Courtenay Place.

‘A fabulously witty adventure, written in deeply moving prose.’ — Philip Hoare, author of Leviathan or, The Whale
