Jo Moir
Jo Moir completed her post-graduate diploma in journalism at Wellington’s Massey University in 2006, after which she spent a couple of years living in London before returning to her home of Taranaki where she worked at the local, Taranaki Daily News, before moving back to Wellington to join the Dominion Post. She then got the amazing opportunity to join the Stuff gallery team in Parliament at the start of 2015.
In 2018 she left Stuff to join the RNZ gallery team, where she spent the next 2.5 years, before starting a new job as Newsroom’s political editor in January this year. She was nominated as a finalist for ‘Political journalist of the Year’ at the Voyager media awards in both 2018 and 2019 and has also been on the Press Gallery executive for the last couple of years, most recently as Press Gallery chair from April 2020-May 2021.
