Mariwakiterangi Paekau (Waikato, Ngāti Mahuta, Ngāti Mahanga) is a 21 year old rangatahi Māori poet whose voice is a candid exploration of love, loss, and negotiating selfhood in an ever changing online and offline landscape. They are currently working within the disability sector and run their own business with an aspiration to explore their creative skills in future projects or study again in the future. We look forward to hosting them in this year’s Te Hā stream of Verb Festival.
