Melanie Harding-Shaw is a speculative fiction writer, policy geek, and mother-of-three from Wellington. Her short fiction has appeared, or is forthcoming, in local and international publications such as newsroom, Takahē, Strange Horizons and Analog. Her contemporary witchy fiction Against the Grain and her debut short story collection Alt-ernate are available now. Melanie won the award for Services to Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror in the 2020 Sir Julius Vogel Awards.
