Inspired by masters such as Groucho Marx and Bugs Bunny, Derek has pursued a life in comic theatre. Derek is alumni of world renowned Loose Moose Theatre (under the direction of Keith Johnstone) and The Second City Toronto. He is a renowned street performer, improvisor and comic actor having performed in festivals all over the world since 1991. Happiest when he is spontaneously waxing lyrical and creating bespoke communal story magic, Derek is thrilled to be part of Verb Festival 2020.
